We will explore various possibilites to show your work; exhibiting your work, making a photo book or showing your work through professional portfolio review opprtunities. Do you need a push to make descisions about your work?
What makes an interesting project? Can you improve upon this or is it ready to go?
Who do you want to show the work to, what is the best way to view this work?

Sacha and Heather will try to answer all your questions. This session is for you to gain confidence in discussing your work and you will have feedback from us and your peer group.

Sacha and Heather have years of experience of making work, presenting work and editing and giving critical feedback to both professionals and students. This will be an intensive deep dive into your methods and content, with suggestions on how to improve it, what to add and what to leave out! We will be a small informal group, offering you a safe space to discuss your project and intentions. You will feel confident that you have made a positive start to taking your work to the next level.

Introduction to Lighting

with Heather McDonough

Explore how to use studio lights and natural lighting for making portraits. We will work with lighting in the studio and provide hands-on use of the equipment to experiment and explore a variety of portrait studio lighting. We will cover the basics and there will be plenty of time to experiment to achieve the look you’re interested in.
